Sales and Marketing

SInC believe that 'getting the first customer' is one of the most critical elements of launching a new company or product.  We have therefore developed an in-house sales and marketing team to provide specialist support in this area.  This support is based on both tailored programs for individual companies and group activities that use the profile of the Innovation Centre to improve results.

 
Marketing Support - many technologists lack marketing skills and experience.  The Innovation Centre team can provide advice and input on many aspects of marketing including:  company names; logo design; sales messaging; PR; marketing plans; campaign management etc.  The support service is tailored to the company's specific needs.
 
Sales Support - undertaking sales calls is often dreaded by technologists without sales experience.  The Innovation Centre team can assist by providing a structured approach to the sales effort, looking at market segmentation, product benefits and the sales process.  Support is again tailored to individual needs and may cover anything from sales coaching to undertaking direct telesales campaigns on behalf of companies.
 
Marketing Exchanges - this is a peer group activity which allows companies who may be inexperienced in marketing and sales to share their experiences and gain confidence from the input of other similar companies.  Themed and interactive meetings are held monthly.
 
New Product Network - this network uses the profile of the Sussex Innovation Centre together with the product portfolio of our network member companies to introduce new products to selected potential companies.  Products are clustered for presentations to specific communities (eg financial services companies) to increase impact and to offer a value to the potential customer list. Innovation Centre Profile - the Innovation Centre has an excellent track record and profile within the region.  As such, we receive a good deal of press coverage and attract many high profile visitors and so our companies gain direct benefits from being associated with the Innovation Centre. 
 
Seminars & Networks - the Innovation Centre has developed a network of professional advisors and mentors that can provide invaluable input on sales and marketing strategy.  In addition we run regular workshops and seminars on the subject at the Centre.
